President of the Contemporary Art Society for Wales, Dr Peter Wakelin will discuss current research for the history of art in Radnorshire. How can one approach the history of art in one small county? The talk will explore subjects such as New Radnor and Aberedw Rocks, notable artists Thomas Jones and Joseph Murray Ince, and the more recent ruralism of artists from Ben Hartley and David Inshaw to Sally Matthews.
