Presteigne Festival 2026 | 27-31 August
The Presteigne Festival is created in partnership with an astonishingly talented community of composers, musicians and artists.
This year’s music programme highlights the extraordinary contribution of women composers from the 20th and 21st centuries. We welcome Michael Zev Gordon as composer-in-residence, celebrate milestone birthdays for Cecilia McDowall, Sally Beamish and Adrian Williams and highlight work by one of the Netherlands’ most exciting young generation composers, Mathilde Wantenaar. Beyond music, the Festival offers poetry, literary and music talks, a film season from New Zealand director Jane Campion and the popular ‘Open Studios’ weekend – produced specially by Presteigne’s community of artists and makers.
Our contemporary music programme features a fresh mix of voices and styles, showcasing the creativity, innovation and diversity that define today’s classical music landscape, with new work by Michael Berkeley, Cameron Biles‑Liddell, Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Lillie Harris, Gabriel Jackson, Tayla-Leigh Payne, Robert Peate, Electra Perivolaris, Lynne Plowman, Emma-Ruth Richards, Claire Victoria Roberts, Natalie Roe and Daniel Soley.
We look forward to welcoming you to Radnorshire’s thriving cultural hub in August.
