Produced and directed by Steven Spielberg from a Tony Kushner screenplay, West Side Story retells the classic tale of rival gangs and young love in 1957 New York. This bold reimagining of the original musical, with music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim andchoreography by Jerome Robbins, will captivate a new generation.
Starring Ansel Elgort as Tony and Rachel Zegler as María, West Side Story tells the story of young lovers caught between rival gangs. With iconic songs, breathtaking choreography by Justin Peck and the score performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel, the film also stars Rita Moreno (who was in the original 1961 film).
