Welcome to the Presteigne Festival’s brand new online platform and thank you for joining us to experience Presteigne Digital 2020 – an online Festival celebrating a wide range of music, musicians and literature filmed specially at beautiful locations in Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, Oxford and the Welsh Marches.
Over four-days in late August we will broadcast no fewer than eight concerts and three literary events, available to view until 31 December 2020 – providing online content to a worldwide audience.
The full line-up, together with programme notes, biographies and other information is available in the online Presteigne Digital Programme Book below.
In true Presteigne tradition, we include 7 world premiere performances of Presteigne Festival commissions, together with several from previous years, contemporary British music and some great standard repertoire from Beethoven, Britten, Janáček and Schubert.
Thanks to the sympathetic support we’ve received from our family of funders, we have been able to re-purpose grants so that by the end of the year, we will have employed over 60 freelance performers, composers and artists taking part in Presteigne Digital 2020, our Winter Festival Weekend and the Presteigne Festival Orchestra’s debut commercial recording for Resonus Classics.
Presteigne Digital 2020 is available free-to-view; however we ask that you consider making a donation in support of our Festival Futures Fund via 'Just Giving', which will enable us to continue our commissioning programme, the support of new generation performers and to properly develop our engagement with members of the Festival community.
Every gift will make a difference; by supporting us in this way, the Presteigne Festival will be able to continue its promotion of inspiring music-making and arts events for many years to come. Thank you.
